Every stay on Homebookin is checked by a person on our team before anyone can book it. Here is exactly what we check, for hosts and for guests.
A new listing goes through four checks. It only appears in search once all of them pass.
Hosts upload a passport, national ID or driver's licence. A Homebookin admin compares it with the name on the account.
Hosts upload a title deed, lease or letter of permission for the property. We read every document and accept or reject it.
We check that the photos show the real place, and that the address, rooms, beds and price make sense.
Before approving, we phone the host on their verified number to confirm the address and that they really manage the place.
Only listings that passed every check carry the “Verified by Homebookin” badge.
Photos are reviewed by a person. Misleading photos are a reason to reject a listing.
Every host's phone number has been confirmed by a real call before they can take bookings.
Guests confirm their email and send a photo of their ID, so hosts know who is coming.
When you pay by mobile money, our team confirms the payment arrived before your booking is final.
Listings with complaints can be suspended at any time while we look into them.
Create your listing in the app or on the website. We'll guide you through every check.
